PLMP Portal Map

PLMP — Product Lifecycle Management Platform

How the three portals fit together

One order, traced end to end through Employee Web, the Customer Portal, and the Technician app — click any step to jump straight to that screen in its manual.

The mechanism

One order followed through all four lanes — solid arrows are a direct click-through, dashed arrows are the same fact appearing on someone else's screen. Every box links to that exact step in its manual. Note the two separate Finance touchpoints: 2b invoices the product sale itself, and 9a is a second, distinct Receivable for the later repair — PLMP never merges these into one invoice.

The nine steps, in order

  1. 1

    Sales creates a Quote

A sales rep builds a Quote for the customer's chosen products; the customer accepts it.

  2. 2

    Order confirmed, Asset delivered

The accepted Quote becomes a Sales Order; Operations registers the physical Asset and delivers/installs it.

  3. 2b

    Finance invoices the Order

Confirming the Order also opens a Receivable against the customer — this is the payment for the product itself, posted before any service ever happens.

  4. 3

    Customer sees it land

The same Order and the newly-owned Asset appear in the customer's own portal — no separate data entry.

  5. 4

    Something breaks

The customer describes the issue themselves, right from the Asset they already see in their portal.

  6. 5

    Dispatch assigns a technician

The Service Ticket the customer's request created lands in Dispatch, where a coordinator assigns a technician.

  7. 6

    Job reaches the technician

The assignment appears on the technician's own phone the moment it's made — no separate phone call needed.

  8. 7

    Visit, diagnosis, restoration

The technician records what they found and what they did — even offline, if the site has no signal.

  9. 8

    Customer sees "Working Again"

The technician's own resolution becomes the plain-language status the customer reads — not internal jargon.

  10. 9

Finance closes the loop — on the repair

A second, separate Receivable is posted for the repair itself (distinct from step 2b's product invoice); the customer sees it on their own statement.
